Sometimes we make the job of finding you a great contractor look easy; maybe even just a matter of fortunate timing. So, just what is it we do to make it look so easy?
Our talent pool of contractors has been built up over the past 10 years with some of these relationships going back far longer than that. A key focus for our contracting team, Heather Haines and Claudia Gonzalez, is attracting and maintaining relationships with a large pool of contractors. All contractors are interviewed to assess their experience, skill sets, character and availability.
A typical process runs like this. When we receive a request from you, our client, we organise a full briefing to determine the scope, deliverables and critical success factors. Simultaneously Heather and Claudia are discussing possible contractors’ names; then immediately contacting those that fit the brief to check their availability and interest in the opportunity.
A recent success story flowed like this: On receiving the brief we contacted 12 people; four were not available and three were not interested. The remaining five were fully evaluated with the best three written up and submitted to the client. The feedback was that great – all three fitted the requirements, two were interviewed and one was offered the contract. All this was achieved in five days, from the day of the briefing to the day the contractor started on the job!
