IPANZ NPs (New Professionals) just sent me an invitation to their Social Series Launch. It's a great chance for you to meet other young people who are pursuing a career in government. Here's the invitation in full:

The IPANZ New Professionals would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the launch of our Social Series.

The Social Series is a series of relaxed events where new professionals in the public sector can join colleagues and comrades for a friendly drink and chat, straight after work.

We know how hard you all work, and we invite you to join us for a well-deserved drink in a great Wellington bar with other new professionals. To help entice you along, we've also put on some sweet drinks deal.

Where: Concrete Bar, Lambton Quay

You don't have to be a member of IPANZ or the New Professionals to join us. Feel free to bring your colleague or friend along as well - the more the merrier. Let us know if you can make it.

Who are the IPANZ New Professionals?

We are a group of early to mid-career professionals who either work in the public sector or have an interest in issues around public administration and management. We aim to help nurture the next generation of public sector leaders, thinkers and policy shapers by broadening the perspective of new professionals, providing opportunities for debate, networking and professional development.

How do I get involved?

We are always on the lookout for people who are enthusiastic and committed to join us and help organise events to be proud of. Come along to the launch and talk to one of the leadership team members about how you can get involved.
