Are creativity, curiosity, self-awareness and empathy more important to good leadership than technical skills?
Two newspaper articles on the topic were published recently. Both were on the subject of emotional intelligence in leadership. The first was by management guru and In search of Excellence author, Tom Peters. Writing in the Financial Times, London he identified what he calls “imaginative brain-work” as one of the main keys to success in the business world in the future. By imaginative brain-work he means creativity, curiosity, self-awareness and empathy.
